It is Summer time for me now, which means a lot more free time. A lot of my activities have slowed down and school is obviously done. I was so excited for summer because of all of this free time. But to be honest, I don’t know what I am going to do with all of this time. Being bored and having nothing to do makes me feel stressed, and like I haven’t accomplished anything. So I figured, it’s Summer! Time to try something new!

Recently I have been watching videos on YouTube by Chiutips. She is a very happy person, despite what has happened in her life. She always manages to be all natural and super stress free, something I inspire to be. In one of her videos, she recommends this calm app. It has nice, calming, sounds from nature and meditation sessions. I have been trying the sessions and absolutely love them. It was hard at first, but once I practiced I have been stress free. I will do that, then relax with a book and a cup of tea. I have also been writing in a journal every morning and it gets out my feelings.

20 Random Questions

Hello everyone! I haven’t posted in forever and I am currently snowed in so I thought, why not get back to posting on this blog? Since it is a new year, I figured I would answer 20 random questions for fun.

1. Where would your dream holiday be?

I have actually been thinking about this a lot lately because I want to start traveling world wide. I have always wanted to go to Thailand or London because they seem like very cool places to visit

2. What sound do you love?

It probably sounds a little weird, but my favorite sound is shoes on a floor. I have no idea why, it has just always appealed to me.

3. If you were a dinosaur, what kind of dinosaur would you be?

As a kid I always loved the brontosaurus. If I were a dinosaur, that’s what I would be.

4. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?

I have always enjoyed the Percy Jackson series of books and I admire Annabeth and can also relate to some parts of her personality.

5. If you were a super hero, what powers would you have?

If I were a superhero, I would want to be like Captain America. He’s my favorite because he really doesn’t need any crazy powers, he just thinks about it.

6. If you could breed two totally different animals together, what new animal would you create?

Ok, this question kind’ve weirded me out when I first saw it but I think a lion and a wolf would be pretty cool.

7. What other languages can you speak?

I am currently almost done with Spanish so I am not fluent, but I soon hope to be.

8. Do you love or hate rollercoasters?

I LOVE rollercoasters.

9. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

I haven’t really gone any places that serve strange foods, but at one restaurant I had swordfish. It isn’t really weird, but it’s pretty cool.

10. Do you collect anything?

I am not currently collecting anything, but I used to collect bottle caps.

11. What would be in your dream sandwich?

My dream sandwich would be mozzarella, olive oil, basil, prosciutto, all on french bread.

12. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

If I could meet anyone, I would meet Frank Sinatra because he is my idol.

13. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

My favorite cartoon growing up was Tom and Jerry. I loved to watch the old ones every Saturday morning.

14.What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever been for Halloween ?

I never really go all out for Halloween, but one year I was a cat and my face paint was pretty cool.

15. What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

The best gift I’ve ever received was the day after Christmas one year we got to go to New York City.

16. What ice cream flavor do you love and which flavor do you hate?

I LOVE cookie dough ice cream, but I HATE ice cream that has candy in it like crunch bar or oreo.

17. Are you a dog person or a cat person?

I am definitely a dog person.

18. What’s your fondest childhood memory?

I remember I rescued this tiny little turtle and I kept him as a pet.

19. Would you rather be poor and happy or rich and miserable?

I would rather be poor and happy because it doesn’t matter how much money I have as long as I’m happy.

20. What would your ideal first date be?

My ideal first date would be to just stay at home, order some pizza, and watch a movie to just have an all around good bonding time.

Fall Outfit Ideas/Clothing Haul/Clothing Essentials

Hi guys! So sadly, Summer is almost gone but fall is right around the corner. thank goodness for cool weather! Today I wanted to show you guys some cute fall outfit ideas and while I’m at it, I’ll tell you where I got everything so it will be like a mini clothing haul too. Oh and at the end there will be a few of  my fall clothing essentials.

Outfit #1

This outfit is by far one of my favorites. It just screams fall to me.

I recently got this sweater at PacSun and it is SO SOFT. It is an off white color with little purple hints in it. The sleeves are connected farther down on the body so it’s a little oversized which I love. These lighter jeans are also from PacSun because they are having amazing sales now for pants.

I paired it with this necklace because I feel like it will bring out the purple in the sweater.

This was a gift from my great grandma so I don’t know where it came from.

Outfit #2

As you can tell, I am obsessed with sweaters. 🙂

The love sweater is from Loft and I think it is very elegant yet casual with the sleeves that are rolled. I paired it with these dark wash jeans which are of course from PacSun.

Outfit #3

Ok, this is the last sweater one I promise 😉

This pink sweater is from Target and I like it because you can pair it with a big statement necklace or a scarf. The dark jeans are from PacSun(the lighting was strange in this picture so sorry about that.) Since the sweater has a low neck I paired it with this scarf.

This was a gift to me so I’m not sure where it came from.

Outfit #4

This is one of my go to outfits for if I’m going to a festival or a cook out because it is very casual and comfy.

Theres just a coral colored plaid shirt from Old Navy and I paired it with the light wash jeans from PacSun. It is very casual but cute at the same time.

Essentials

So for fall there are just some items that are a must have for me.

#1: Fall socks

Having cute fall socks will help you get into the spirit of the season. If I want dressier ones that I want to be seen, I love these knee high socks. The other ones I’ll just wear to slide around on the floors 🙂

#2: Fall Earrings

I love wearing earrings and I think this is a great way to spice up and outfit. I got these both for like $5 at Charming Charlies and I just think the owls and the leaves are so adorable and perfect for fall.

#3: Big Bracelets

I am not a big fan of wearing statement piece necklaces. they tend to bother me. instead I like wearing big bracelets. the brown one is from a store called Dragonfly in NC and the second one was a gift to me.

#4: Rings

This is actually an all around essential for me but I thought I would put them in here anyway. Rings are just small ways to make an outfit look better. The two on the outside are made out of surgical steel which I think is really cool. They are from Pacific. the one in the middle is from a festival but I love it because it has my birthstone on it.

#5: Shoes

These three shoes are my favorite for the fall. I love white converse because they can go with anything from a dress to a shirt and jeans. I got them at Shoe Carnival. The boots in the middle are really comfortable and cute with the buckle and I believe I got these at Aeropostale. The black ones on the right and my favorite boots ever. I got these on amazon for $17 but they are amazing.

When You don’t Know What To Do

I know this topic has been addressed many times on the internet recently and I know this post probably won’t matter because I’m not someone famous. But I’m going to talk about it because this really stood out to me.

Today I was scrolling through YouTube because I was bored and I had nothing to do. I noticed that there was a new video posted and it was by Taylor Caniff. He’s a part of Magcon so I thought the video was going to be funny. But it was serious. He talked about this fan that he met and how she was so bubbly and happy. He instantly realized the impact he had made on teenage girls and how he made them laugh and smile by watching his videos or vines. A few weeks later, someone sent him a link to an article about this girl. It turns out that her Dad shot her and her whole family and burned the house down. Taylor was devastated. He didn’t know she was going through that.He cried because he knew he had made her happy throughout terrible times. But he wasn’t going to let that bring him down. No matter what hate he was getting, he would continue to be himself. He said if he listened t all the hate he gets, he wouldn’t be here. Now, he didn’t have the best life growing up either but that didn’t stop him from following his dreams. If you’ve heard the argument between him and Tyler Oakley, yes he has made some mistakes. But he didn’t let that drag him down.

The truth is, you have to push through it. No matter what you’re going through you can make it. Self harm is not the answer. I believe in you guys. I will try to make people happy no matter what. Yes, I have judged people. I’m just going to flat out admit it. I got so annoyed with those girls at school who were all full of themselves and all I did was complain about their faults. But how was I to know what they were going through? As soon as I stopped this, I became a happier person. No weight on my shoulders for all the bad things I was thinking. Lighten up and appreciate all that you have and be thankful that you don’t have to go through what that girl did.

Summer/Spring Beauty Favorites/What I Use

Sorry it has been so long since I’ve done a post. I don’t know what I was thinking trying to keep posting in the school year with all of my activities. Here are my favorites for the Summer or really any time of the year.

Hair products

---

For my hair, I have tried many different shampoos. This one foams up nicely and gives me a very clean wash.

Along with the shampoo, I use this conditioner and it makes my hair sooooo shiny and silky. I use non scented products because I feel like I get a better wash because it doesn’t have any strange ingredients that would give you the smell.

I also found this curling iron in an old bin and it is amazing. I would definitely get one of these tips again because it makes the perfect curl(although is take FOREVER)

Skincare Products

I like to use these Stridex pads after a workout if I plan on doing something else before my shower. It gets the sweat off of your face and has this really cool feeling that makes your face feel refreshed.

This isn’t a face product, it’s for your body(Hence the body wash label on the bottle XD) Recently, since I have been sweating more in the Summer, I have been breaking out on my chest and back. I just use the tiniest bit of it and put it on a loofah and it really cleanses my pores.

This is one of my favorite face scrubs. I had gone to a camp and bought a travel sized version of this since it was cheap and small but I ended up buying the big bottle because it is AMAZING. It feels cool on your face in the morning and it works as a good cleanser if you attach it onto a clarasonic.

I didn’t really know what category to put this in so I’ll just put it here. I got this deodorant because I wanted to try something new and I love it. It smells like berries and goes on really well so I recommend that.

Beauty

I am OBSESSED with bath and body works and this is one of my favorites. It smells very cool(idk if you can smell cool :/) and flowery and the containers are fab. I also got a few more things there after I took the pictures and they are passionfruit colada anti bacterial hand gel, Bourbon Street Buttercream hand lotion, Oahu perfume, and Coconut pineapple perfume. THEY SMELL AMAZING!!!!

The sweet pea and country chic scent are some of my other favorites.

Makeup

---

I don’t typically wear foundation so I opt for concealer. This one matches my skin perfectly and is very light. It is so cool because it has a little brush and you twist the bottom and it squeezes out.

Yes, this is a foundation blending brush but I use it to blend concealer. IT’S SO SOFT AND FLUFFY!

This mascara lives up to it’s name. My lashes are so much bigger when I use this. I need a new one so comment down below any brands you recommend.

Ok I don’t know about anyone else but I think lip crayons are the coolest thing ever. This is a nice shimmery pink that I love and it’s not quite as thick as a lipstick and it stays on when you eat which is nice because, I mean, you gotta look good at that restaurant 😉

Don’t mind the lighting… This looks wayyyyyy darker than it actually is. This is truly an amazing pink color.

I have to end this post with a classic. EOS lip balm. I mean come one, they look and smell amazing.

How to make a Slightly Healthy Breakfast: What I use for Coffee and French Toast! :)

So on school days where I have extra time, which only happened today because of a two hour delay ;), I like to make a slightly bigger breakfast than just a bowl of cereal. I always have to have my cup of coffee or I will become a little monster at school because I’m not awake yet. (School starts at 7:00 :()

Here is what I used to make my coffee with.

This is a darker roast from Trader Joe’s and it’s a little stronger than the coffee that I like the best which is Komodo Dragon from Starbucks.

I like my coffee sweet so I like to use the French Vanilla creamer by International Delight. I’m not a big fan of the flavored ones so I stick to this flavor.

This is one of my favorite cups. I got it for Christmas and it is just the cutest thing ever! I also saw it in one of my favorite You-tuber’s video and it’s from Pier 1.

OK. So for the french toast you will need:

1 egg

1/3 cup of milk

1 tsp. of ground cinnamon

3-4 slices of healthy bread

1 tsp. of butter

3-4 tsp powdered sugar

3 sliced strawberries

Crack the egg into a medium sized bowl.

Beat the egg with a fork until frothy.

Add the milk to the egg and beat again. Don’t beat it too much or the egg will turn tough when you cook it.

Add cinnamon to the mixture and gently stir.

Take your bread of choice and pull out 3-4 pieces. It depends on how much your piece of bread soaks up so you might need 3 but you might also need 4. I chose this bread because it’s really healthy, cheap, and delicious.

Start melting your butter on low heat to grease the pan. Don’t use cooking spray or else your french toast will taste strange.

Soak the bread in the egg mixture on both sides.

Place your bread in the frying pan on medium to high heat depending on how fast you want it to cook. Make sure there isn’t any globs of egg because it won’t cook very well.

Use a spatula to get your toast out when it’s done. It should be golden brown on both sides but if it burns, it actually still tastes good! Shocking right?! Spread some butter on it while it’s still hot and add your powdered sugar quickly so it will all melt together and create an AMAZING sweet glaze.

Slice up your strawberries to the size you would like. I cut mine across twice and then in half so they were pretty small.

Spread your strawberries on top and there you have a delicious, slightly healthy French Toast! Comment down below what your favorite breakfast is and let me know if I should do more cooking posts!! Thanks! ❤ 🙂

Winter Accessories

So last weekend, I went up to the mountains and there was eight inches of snow! So today I decided to post some f my winter accessories that I would wear to keep warm and to be fashionable and cute.

This is my whole outfit for what I would typically wear on a winter day.

These gloves are perfect for running and playing sports. They are designed specifically for running and can also be used on a touch screen.

These are a more fashionable kind of glove. They are finger less, so I wouldn’t recommend them fora really cold day. These would be better for walking around shopping or going to a party.

This is a VERY warm brown winter hat. Yes, I know, it’s not the cutest, but it has a fleece inside and it keeps me super warm.

$10.00 From a NYC Street vendor, but can probably be purchased anywhere.

This is a cuter hat and one of my favorites. It is made out of sheep’s wool and spun on a spinning wheel and is very warm and the most adorable hat ever. My “adopted” grandma made this for me but it is a very popular style of hat so they can be found almost anywhere for a reasonable price.

This is a scarf that someone made for me that it the cutest colors ever. It is a great color combo for transitioning from fall to winter. It is very warm and I just love it.

This scarf was also made for me. It is just a solid black, knitted scarf, but it keeps me warmer than the other.
